REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 9, 2024

KIT FEE: $30.00

LIMIT OF 20 STUDENTS

SATIN AND LACE ORNAMENTS

Adapting stitches from several techniques, students will learn to divide their satin ornaments into eight sections using Battenberg lace tape. Within these sections, the Crescent Stitch will create an oval window for the adapted Hardanger stitches that decorate the middle of each area. Using #8 pearl cotton, students will lay threads between the lace tape to work a Three Quarter Flower on one ornament and a Greek Cross on the other. They will be finished with a satin bow and pearl crackle beads. These Satin and Lace Ornaments can be used to decorate the Christmas tree or for display year round.

Students will need to bring a cloth tape measure, a box of 1.25" large ball-headed pins, and scissors for cutting the lace.
